The Shahan Natalie Family Foundation, Inc. (SNFF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated as a public benefit corporation in California on August 11, 1999. SNFF was also registered in the Republic of Nagorno Karabagh as a non-governmental organization on July 26th, 2000 with a tax-exempt status.
The charitable and public purposes of the Shahan Natalie Family Foundation, Inc. to operate a non-profit organization are:
- To preserve the archives of the late Shahan Natalie, including his published works unpublished manuscripts, correspondence, diaries, photographs, newspaper clippings, personal library, personal belongings, and other intellectual property.
- To oversee the translation, reprinting, revision, publication, and dissemination of Shahan Natalie’s published and unpublished works.
- To organize events which educate, enrich, foster understanding and appreciation of Shahan Natalie’s intellectual pursuits, especially Armenian language, literature, history, and culture, among members of the Foundation, persons of Armenian ancestry and the community at large in the United States and abroad.
- To solicit donations, grants or subsidies from interested members of the public in order to fund research, scholarship and publication, particularly in the fields of Armenian language, literature, history, and culture; and establish Armenian language and literature collections in the name of Shahan Natalie in public, academic, and special libraries throughout the Diaspora.
